River Sweep a Success
Our first River Sweep on May 21 was a big success. Our group of volunteers, which included a large number of Scouts, pulled 960 pounds of trash from the Tuscarawas River and its banks! The most common item? Water bottles. It’s a reminder that 8,000 tons of plastic bottles are littered in our Ohio rivers every year. Also, twenty Scouts earned Soil & Water Conservation Merit Badge that day.
